Out-patient, polyclinic
rehabilitation of diseases, injuries of the musculoskeletal system, neurological,
cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, as well as in-patient rehabilitation
of patients with heart and lung diseases are carried out here. This organizational
unit has diagnostic services for electrophysiology, cardiology, pulmonology,
laboratory and x-ray diagnostics as well as balneoclimatology service and
teaching service. The organizational unit of the Institute situated at 17,
Sokobanjska street continues the tradition of the Institute of Internal
Diseases and balneology of the University School of Medicine in Belgrade,
founded in 1934 and the Institute of Physical Therapy. The current name
was given in 1989. The staff is
composed of 18 physicians, 22 physiotherapists and 24 nurses. |
