Although only about 50 km away from Belgrade, the Selters organizational unit in Mladenovac is a true oasis of clean air, peace and greenery. Oplenac, a major cultural and historical spot is only about 20 km away from Selters. There is the Church of Oplenac built immediately before the First World War by King Petar I Karadjordjevic and the monumental family crypt of the dynasty. The town of Topola also accommodates a Veteran’s Museum of the First Serbian Uprising in the court of Duke Karadjordje. Main roads lead from Selters to popular excursion spots – mounts of Avala, Bukulja and Kosmaj, the mountain fold of Guberevacka suma and Tresnja, and spas that are very close by, Koracicka Banja and Bukovicka Banja. One-day excursions are organized for the guests to enjoy the mildly sedating climate, authochtonous and antropogenic vegetation, forest springs, rustic scenery, rural events, fairs, and hunting of the small (ground) game for hunting fans.
